Bandai Namco announced the full roster of 12 additional fighters for the fighting game Tekken 8, spread across three seasons. Currently, nine characters have already been released and are available in the game, while the release of three more is planned for the future.
The first season combined classic series fighters with the first major crossover. Joining the game were capoeira master Eddy Gordo, Lidia Sobieska, who first appeared in Tekken 7, and the iconic antagonist Heihachi Mishima. The season concluded with Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI, who became the first guest fighter in Tekken 8.
In the second season, the developers focused on the classics, adding Anna Williams with the "Lovely Tom" bazooka, Muay Thai master Fahkumram, and wrestler Armor King. The only completely new original character for the franchise was Miary Zo, whose look and abilities are inspired by the classic boss Ogre.
The third season offers a combination of long-awaited returns and a new crossover:
- Kunimitsu: ninjutsu master, released on June 2, 2026.
- Bob: a speedy heavyweight planned for release between July and September 2026.
- Roger: a boxing kangaroo returning to the franchise for the first time in over 20 years (October – December 2026).
- Yujiro Hanma: the strongest fighter from the Baki manga and anime, who will become the second guest character in the game (January – March 2027).
Overall, out of the 12 announced fighters, nine are series veterans, two are guest characters from other universes (Clive Rosfield and Yujiro Hanma), and only one fighter, Miary Zo, is completely new to Tekken. Bandai Namco has not yet provided official confirmation regarding a fourth season.
As a reminder, WARDOGS reached one million wishlists almost a month before launching in early access.
