Biggest Highlights and Surprise Announcements
God of War Laufey Announced
Sony Santa Monica stole the show with the official reveal of the next mainline entry in the franchise — God of War Laufey.
The studio showcased a full 20 minutes of gameplay. Players will take on the role of Faye (Laufey the Just), Kratos’ Norse wife and Atreus’ mother. The story takes place in the afterlife, where Faye battles various mythological factions.
Seven Minutes of Marvel’s Wolverine Gameplay
Insomniac Games finally shared an extended gameplay showcase for its highly anticipated Wolverine action game.
The seven-minute trailer highlights Logan’s trademark brutality. As the developers put it:
“When the fate of humans and mutants hangs in the balance, Logan knows the world needs a hero. Unfortunately, they'll have to settle for Wolverine.”
Until Dawn to Receive a Full Sequel
Sony officially confirmed the development of Until Dawn 2.
The sequel to the cult interactive horror game is scheduled to launch next year. Development is being led by Liverpool-based studio Firesprite.
Return of Rayman Legends Retold
Following a series of leaks, Ubisoft officially announced Rayman Legends Retold, a full 3D remake of the 2013 platforming classic.
The game launches on consoles and PC this October and will feature fully rebuilt 3D visuals, a completely new world, the Kung Foot mode, and the franchise’s beloved co-op gameplay.
Control Resonant
Remedy Entertainment unveiled a new story trailer for Control Resonant, diving deeper into a world no longer bound by conventional laws of physics.
The game is scheduled for release on September 24.

Silent Hill: Townfall Launches in September
Konami revealed the release date for the psychological horror title Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn.
The game launches on September 24.
Dune: Awakening Receives Console Release Date and New Mode
Dune: Awakening will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 22.
The console version will introduce a new single-player mode, which will later be added to PC, along with expanded difficulty customization options.
Ace Combat 8: Wings Of Theve Arrives in October
Ace Combat 8: Wings Of Theve launches on October 2, 2026.
Owners of the Deluxe Edition will gain early access beginning September 28.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword Gets Release Date and Demo
Capcom announced that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will launch on September 25.
Alongside a new trailer, the developers revealed that a playable demo is available for download starting today.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Phantom Blade Zero Delayed
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Crystal Dynamics presented a new trailer for the Unreal Engine 5 remake but confirmed that the release has been pushed to 2027.
According to the studio, the delay will help preserve the atmosphere of the original while allowing additional surprises to be added.
Phantom Blade Zero
The developers announced that Phantom Blade Zero has been delayed from September 9 to October 29.
