Marvel Released a Full Trailer for the Movie "Avengers: Doomsday"

Marvel Studios presented the official trailer for the upcoming superhero blockbuster "Avengers: Doomsday" (also referred to as "Avengers: Doctor Doom" in some materials). The film's international release will begin on December 18 — on the same day as the premiere of the movie "Dune 3", setting the stage for one of the year's biggest cinematic duels.

The plot of the fifth installment of the franchise focuses on a large-scale confrontation between the superhero team and a new, powerful antagonist — Doctor Doom, dressed in classic armor and a green cape. The main villain is played by Robert Downey Jr., best known for playing Iron Man.

The trailer also features Thor, members of the Fantastic Four, the original Captain America (Steve Rogers), and X-Men newcomers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film's ensemble cast includes:

The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, creators of the blockbusters "Infinity War" and "Endgame". According to preliminary data, the runtime of the film will be 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Originally, the project was titled "The Kang Dynasty" and was scheduled for release in May 2026 (a March release was also considered). However, after Marvel fired Jonathan Majors, the actor who played Kang, the plot was completely reworked, Doom became the main antagonist, and the release was moved to December.

A direct continuation of the story — the film "Avengers: Secret Wars" — is planned for late 2027.

The first minutes following the trailer's publication brought the video thousands of likes and comments. The audience reaction proved to be positive: fans praised the onscreen portrayal of Doctor Doom and the large number of superheroes, dubbing the film Marvel Studios' "apology" for previous movies with mixed reviews.
