A new playable character will soon appear in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The game's next, 134th hero will be Dori (Shepherd of Smiles) — a mage from the Cadia Riverlands. The character is already available on the Advanced Server in patch 2.2.14 and stands out among other heroes with a unique feature: the absence of a traditional ultimate.
According to the developers, Dori is designed to be played in the Mid Lane. Her specialty focuses on poke and area control using AoE abilities. According to the game's lore, the heroine is a nature spirit and the cheerful leader of the "Fantastic Marvels" troupe. Previously, during the development stage, the character was known by the name Collei.
Dori's main feature is the presence of three active skills that are available to learn from the very beginning of the match. Her gameplay is built around creating magic rings with a magic banner, where damage and crowd control effects are applied exclusively in the outer area of the skills' range. This requires the player to calculate distances precisely.
The character's abilities on the Advanced Server are as follows:
- Passive Skill (Merry Mark): Dealing skill damage applies a mark to the enemy for 4.5 seconds, which increases the magic damage of the next skill. Dori simultaneously gains a 30% movement speed bonus for 1 second.
- First Skill (Timid Courage): A defensive ability with a 12-second cooldown. It knocks back surrounding enemies, deals damage to them, and grants Dori a shield.
- Second Skill (Banner Twirl): Creates a ring where the outer area deals magic damage and slows enemies by 30%. The skill has a short cooldown (3.5 seconds) and speeds up Dori herself, making it an ideal tool for wave clearing.
- Third Skill (Starlit Parade): Works similarly to the second ability but has a larger radius and stuns enemies for 1 second instead of slowing them. The cooldown is 11 seconds.
The hero's skills synergize perfectly with each other and with allies' abilities. For example, you can knock an enemy back with the first skill directly into the radius of the rings, or combine the second and third skills, forcing the opponent into crowd control zones while they try to escape.
The optimal build for Dori is based on items that provide Magic Power, Penetration, and significant Cooldown Reduction. It is recommended to use the Mage Emblem with talents for penetration and extra damage. Key equipment includes Magic Shoes, Genius Wand, Glowing Wand, Enchanted Talisman, and Holy Crystal. The best Battle Spells to compensate for her vulnerability to assassins are Flicker or Purify.
Currently, the developers have not officially announced the exact release date of the character on the Original Server. However, Dori's release is expected to happen on September 16, coinciding with the start of Season 42. Traditionally, the cost of the new hero will be 32,000 Battle Points or 599 Diamonds, likely accompanied by a premium currency cashback event.
