The roster of Ukrainian organization Monte suffered a defeat against BB Team at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. The match was played in the 2–1 bracket, with a spot in the next stage on the line.
Monte started the series with a 7–13 loss on Nuke but responded strongly on their map pick, Mirage, securing a convincing 13–6 victory.
The deciding map was Dust2, where the representatives of the Ukrainian organization were unable to maintain their momentum and fell 8–13, losing the series 1–2 overall.
With the win, BB Team advanced to the next stage of the tournament. Meanwhile, Monte dropped into the 2–2 bracket and will play on June 9 for the chance to remain in the competition and qualify for Stage 3.
The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne, Germany, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
