The official Mortal Kombat YouTube channel has released a short teaser that most likely announces Mortal Kombat 12. The video shows a clock face, and at the end of the video, the second-hand bypasses the number 12 and ends up on one.
According to the insider billbil-kun, the new part of the fighting game will be called Mortal Kombat 1. Perhaps, the creators are planning to rethink the series and restart it.
The project is being created for PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch. The official announcement is expected in the near future.
