Following its recent insolvency filing, Nacon has officially postponed Nacon Connect from March 4 to May. The company stated the change will allow them to focus our resources on upcoming releases and the development of our current games.
«Faced with a difficult economic environment, we are choosing to concentrate on our upcoming releases and the development of our current projects. This period will let us polish our games and prepare a new Nacon Connect in May to showcase our studios’ work in the best possible way», — the studio said in a press release.
Details on GreedFall: The Dying World, Dragonkin: The Banished, and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss will still be shared. The first two titles launch on March 12 and 19, while Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss arrives in April with a playable demo available until 10 AM PST during Steam Next Fest.
The financial issues stem from Bigben Interactive, the majority shareholder, failing to partially repay a bond loan. The company now requires rapid financial restructuring but aims to avoid layoffs and safeguard its employees.
With a court hearing scheduled this week, postponing Nacon Connect makes practical sense. More updates and details are expected in May, potentially including some unexpected announcements for the event.
