The quarterfinals day at IEM Rio 2026 has come to an end. For Ukrainian fans, it wasn’t a particularly pleasant one.
MOUZ and NAVI have been eliminated from the tournament. Both teams faced their “kryptonite” opponents today and, unfortunately, once again proved they can’t overcome them — not even taking a single map.
Vitality advanced to the semifinals, where they will face the crowd favorites FURIA. Meanwhile, Spirit will play against Falcons for a spot in the final.
An interesting note: this victory over NAVI allowed Vitality to set a world record for the most consecutive top-4 finishes at tournaments. The team has now reached its 20th semifinal in a row, surpassing the previous record set by Astralis (2018–2019).
As a reminder, brazilian legend FalleN has announced that he will retire at the end of this year
