2026 continues to surprise day by day across all areas, and CS is no exception. Just a few months ago, Monte were considered a team that had disappeared from the radar and was unlikely to return to our screens. However, this year they have already managed to attend several big events and even defeated NaVi in the first match of the season.
Today this matchup happened again: the teams traded map picks, and the main battle continued on Mirage, which became the decider. The first half ended 6–6, but later Monte seized the initiative and started to take control of the game. Although NaVi looked weaker, they kept fighting and managed to complete a comeback — winning the third map in a tense battle in the final rounds.
NaVi move to a 1–0 record, while Monte drop to 0–1. Interestingly, Monte started the previous stage in the same way — with a loss — but it didn’t stop them from advancing further. However, it’s worth noting that the opponents in Stage 2 are significantly stronger.
