The Ukrainian esports club NAVI delivered an impressive performance at BLAST Slam VI, which concluded on February 15, 2026, in Malta. The team finished in second place, falling to the European powerhouse Team Liquid in the grand final.
Road to the Final
NAVI confidently advanced through the group stage, finishing first in their group. The team played 11 best-of-one matches and secured 7 victories. This strong showing guaranteed them a direct spot in the semifinals.
Playoffs
In the semifinals, NAVI (Born to Win) edged past Team Yndx in a hard-fought 3:2 series, earning their first Tier-1 tournament final appearance since 2020.
The grand final was played in a best-of-five format. Despite fierce resistance and standout moments from NAVI’s young stars, the experienced Team Liquid proved stronger, closing the series 3:1.
Previously, NAVI had reached a Tier-1 grand final in 2020 at ESL One Germany 2020, where they also fell to Team Liquid by the same 1:3 scoreline.
Prize Pool Distribution
The tournament featured a total prize pool of $1,000,000. Thanks to their silver finish, NAVI significantly boosted their earnings:
- 1st place: Team Liquid — $300,000 (+$100,000 for the club)
- 2nd place: NAVI — $150,000 (+$50,000 for the club)
This marked NAVI’s first Tier-1 final in Dota 2 in the past six years. The club’s management has already described the result as a major step forward for the project.
As a reminder, Ubisoft has canceled six games amid major internal restructuring within the company.
