During its latest financial results presentation, Shift Up shared fresh updates on several upcoming projects currently in development. The studio confirmed that work on Stellar Blade 2 is progressing smoothly and meeting expectations.
Unlike the original game, which was published by PlayStation, the sequel will be self-published by Shift Up. This approach will allow the company to launch the game on as many platforms as possible right from release day. More details about Stellar Blade 2 and “Project Spirits” are expected later this year.
The report also mentioned UNBOUND Games, the new studio founded by Shinji Mikami and acquired by Shift Up earlier this year. The team is currently working on multiple new titles.
