Nintendo has announced price increases for the Switch 2, the original Switch lineup, and Nintendo Switch Online memberships. The company explained the changes by citing “changing market conditions” and its “global business outlook.”
In Japan, the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 will increase by $70, rising from 49,980 yen ($318) to 59,980 yen ($382). The new pricing will take effect on May 25.
The standard Switch, OLED model, and Switch Lite will also receive significant price increases. In particular, the OLED model will rise from 37,980 yen ($242) to 47,980 yen ($305).
Price adjustments for the Nintendo Switch 2 are also planned for the United States, Canada, and Europe later this year.
- United States: The price will increase from $449.99 to $499.99 starting September 1, 2026.
- Canada: The console’s price will rise from $629.99 to $679.99.
- Europe: The price will increase from €469.99 to €499.99.
