Nintendo has officially unveiled a new entry in the Star Fox series for the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console. The game is set to release on June 25.
The announcement came during a surprise Nintendo Direct presentation, where series creator Shigeru Miyamoto and producer Yoshiaki Koizumi shared new details about the project. It was revealed that the game is a full remake of the iconic Star Fox 64.
While the level structure remains identical to the original version, the technical side of the game has been completely rebuilt. The remake will feature modern graphics and redesigned character models. Every stage has been visually refreshed with a much higher level of detail.
The developers have also added several new features. For example, the game will include a special mission dedicated to Fox McCloud’s father. In addition, new cutscenes will further expand the story of the Star Fox team.
