Rockstar Games confirmed the start date for preloading the highly anticipated action game Grand Theft Auto VI. The official release of the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles will take place on November 19, 2026, while the digital download of the game files will become available one week before release.
The preload file size will be up to 212 GB depending on the platform, so the developers recommend freeing up space on storage devices in advance.
Access to the game files will vary depending on the platform:
- PlayStation 5: Preloading of digital versions will begin on Tuesday, November 10, at 00:00 local time in each region.
- Xbox Series X|S: The global download will begin on November 10 at 00:00 GMT.
- Physical versions: Boxed editions with activation codes will appear on retailers' shelves starting November 12.
On release day, November 19, digital versions of the official poster and map of the state of Leonida will become available for free download on the game's official website.
Shortly after launch, a double-sided printed poster will appear in the Rockstar Store: it can be purchased separately for $0.99 or received for free as a gift with any purchase. Instructions for setting up the pre-load have already been published on the Rockstar Support portal.
As a reminder, Officially: FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will become part of the Esports World Cup 2027.
