Microsoft has announced an expansion of its backward compatibility program, allowing PC players to enjoy games from the original Xbox, including several titles that were never officially released on computers.
The initial lineup includes four classic games:
- BLiNX: The Time Sweeper
- Conker: Live and Reloaded
- Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
- Fuzion Frenzy
According to Microsoft, the library will continue to grow with additional titles in the near future.
All Xbox Game Pass subscribers, regardless of their subscription tier, can access these games. Players who already own a digital copy will also be able to play without an active Game Pass membership.
The PC versions include several technical enhancements, such as anisotropic filtering, V Sync support, modern aspect ratios, and slightly increased rendering resolution. Xbox also plans to introduce Achievements support before the end of the year.
Every game added through the program will support Xbox Play Anywhere and Xbox Cloud Gaming, making them playable across Xbox consoles, PCs, cloud streaming, and supported handheld devices.

- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti, or Intel Arc A770
- CPU: Intel Core i5 10400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, or AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme

- VRAM: 8 GB
- OS: Windows 11.
