Following a series of victories over Shifters and Movistar KOI in Week 3 of the Summer Split, his team has secured a 2-1 standing. In a recent interview, the player opened up about his current form, the healthy atmosphere within his new roster, and candidly criticized his past experience with Fnatic.
Despite a somewhat weird first match against SK, Oscarinin notes that the team has found its groove. For their principal matchup against Movistar KOI, GIANTX did not prepare specifically or conduct any special scouting, focusing solely on their own gameplay and fixing mistakes. Currently, the player rates himself as at least a top-five toplaner in the LEC "on a good day," but he is aiming higher. His main goal is to achieve consistency and eventually challenge the league's current leaders: Canna and BrokenBlade.
The most emotional part of the interview involved memories of his time at Fnatic. Oscarinin openly criticized the methods of former coach Fabian "Grabbz" Lohmann. According to the player, the post-match discussions were unfair, and he often felt targeted by criticism. Oscarinin is convinced that the situation at Fnatic severely damaged his reputation, which is why he struggled to find a new team for a long time after 2025. He spent his forced hiatus in South Korea, grinding to high elo until he was given a chance to prove himself with GIANTX.
Comparing his past experience with the present, Oscarinin highlighted a drastic difference in work ethic. A healthy atmosphere prevails at GIANTX, where players and coaches are open to each other's opinions, and game discussions are constructive and free of unnecessary emotions. The organization quickly resolves any issues, and the player himself has been given much more freedom in his champion picks.
Despite currently sitting in third place in the standings, Oscarinin doesn't yet consider GIANTX a fully-fledged top-three team and emphasizes the need for further improvement. Nevertheless, he believes the squad has a good chance of fighting for a spot at the World Championship.

Oscarinin admitted that he hates the heat but noted that it does not affect professional performances—LEC matches are held in a studio with high-quality air conditioning, allowing the players to feel as comfortable as possible.
