Blizzard has launched an unexpected marketing campaign for an unannounced event in Overwatch 2. Reports suggest that the terrorist organization Talon has allegedly taken control of the game’s official channels.
The game’s accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and X have changed their logos to Talon symbolism. Overwatch logos in the main menu, matchmaking screen, and even in the Battle.net client have shifted from orange to a sinister red. The X page now features the message: “Talon has taken control of this channel. Only we have the power to change history.”
At the center of the event is Vendetta, a new Damage-class hero introduced in Season 20.
Another key phrase drawing attention is “Reign of Talon.” This is likely the title of Season 21, which is expected to begin on February 10. Blizzard is expected to reveal more details next week.
