The life simulation game Paralives has officially launched in Early Access. The project, originally announced in 2019 by solo developer Alex Masse, evolved over seven years into a full indie studio known as Paralives Studio.
The developers noted that, at the Early Access stage, the game is not yet as polished as its main inspiration and competitor, The Sims, but it already contains enough content to provide a полноценный gameplay experience.
The launch version features a deeply detailed character creator that allows fine-tuned appearance customization, which the developers consider one of the game’s major advantages over similar titles from Electronic Arts. Players also have access to house-building and decoration tools, along with a large world to explore.
Characters can get jobs, raise children, and build relationships ranging from friendship and romance to rivalry and conflict.
At the moment, the game does not include weather systems, seasons, or animals, but the developers confirmed that these features will be added later. All future updates are planned to be completely free.
According to the published roadmap, the following features are planned:
- weather systems, seasons, and animals (during the first two years of Early Access);
- vehicles and family trees;
- a calendar system;
- tools to edit and create custom towns;
- story-driven systems for NPCs.
As a reminder, the developers of Marvel Rivals recently denied rumors about bypassing the game’s anti-cheat system.
