Pearl Abyss has officially confirmed that a DLC expansion for Crimson Desert is currently in development. While the studio is not ready to reveal specific details yet, it describes the expansion as a “meaningful addition” to players’ journey through Pywel.
The team shared the news in a recent Dev Update, where it also outlined its plans for the game's development between June and September 2026.
Alongside the upcoming DLC, the developers are preparing several major improvements for the base game. These include story enhancements designed to strengthen the flow of Kliff’s journey and improve the overall narrative experience. According to the team, player feedback is being carefully reviewed as key scenes are refined and expanded.
The Re-Blockade mode is also set to receive significant changes, including a new phase, improved stronghold defense mechanics, and better rewards for liberating territories.
In addition, Pearl Abyss is working on new combat-focused content that will allow players to test their strength as Greymanes. More information about this feature will be revealed at a later date.
