Tomorrow, September 19, the ninth season of the PGL Wallachia Dota 2 tournament will begin in Bucharest. The offline competition will take place at PGL Studio until September 27 on game patch 7.41f. Throughout the tournament, 16 teams will compete for the trophy and a prize pool of $1,000,000.
The first stage of the competition will be the group stage, featuring a modified Swiss-system format. All group matches will be played as Bo3. Based on the results, the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs, while the remaining participants will be eliminated from the tournament.
The decisive stage will feature a double-elimination bracket. Playoff matches will also be played as Bo3 series, with the exception of the Grand Final, where the champion will be determined in a Bo5 format.
The total prize pool of the tournament will be distributed among all participants. The winner of the tournament will receive the main prize of $300,000, the runner-up will get $175,000, and the third-place team will earn $120,000. It is worth noting that even the teams finishing in the last places will not be left without a reward and will receive $10,000 each.
NAVI will start their journey in the tournament with a match against Hokori. This matchup is scheduled for September 19 at 13:00 EEST. The official Ukrainian-language broadcast of the matches will be held on the Maincast YouTube channel.
