On September 18, PUBG Mobile Global Open 2026 Season 2 — Western Europe Finals, the final stage of the second PMGO season in Western Europe, kicked off. Following the first matchday, two teams with Ukrainian players placed in the top 4 of the standings.
However, the start of the tournament was not without technical issues. As early as the first game, participants encountered server instability, causing the play zone to behave incorrectly and creating additional difficulties for the teams.
Server issues also affected the PMGO Season 2 Americas Finals. Due to technical difficulties, the first matchday there was cut short to four matches instead of the planned amount. To make up for the reduction, the teams will have to play seven matches a day over the next two days, resulting in a significantly tighter match schedule for the participants.
Play zone issues can heavily impact the usual flow of matches in PUBG Mobile. Teams have to adapt to an abnormal situation directly during the game, and in upcoming matches, this could potentially force rosters to reconsider their strategies, rotation routes, and positioning approaches.
Despite a tough start, Boars Gaming managed to finish the first day in 3rd place. By the end of the matchday, the team accumulated 51 points, recorded 32 eliminations, and secured 1 WWCD.
The final match of the day was particularly fruitful for Boars Gaming. The team secured victory, while its player Boarr0bbz delivered an outstanding individual performance with 10 kills. Additionally, he recorded 1,175 damage and 2 assists, earning him the Match MVP title.
Another team with Ukrainian representation, NEXT, also finished the first day in the upper half of the standings, taking 4th place with 48 points.
Thus, after six matches, Boars Gaming and NEXT occupy third and fourth place, respectively. With 12 games still ahead, all teams with Ukrainian players will have the opportunity to improve their standing and fight for slots in the next stage of PMGO Season 2.
