PRAGMATA surpasses one million copies sold in two days

Capcom has announced that worldwide sales of PRAGMATA, its brand new IP released on April 17, 2026, have exceeded one million units in just two days.

PRAGMATA is a science fiction action adventure game that follows the journey of Hugh Williams and Diana, an android girl, in a near future lunar setting.

As a completely new IP, the game was developed mainly by a younger team at Capcom, combining action gameplay with puzzle elements in a unique world governed by artificial intelligence. Without an established fan base, the company relied on a strong marketing campaign, including an early playable demo, to showcase the game’s features to a wider audience. In line with its multi platform strategy, the title also received early support for Nintendo Switch 2.

These efforts helped build strong momentum, allowing PRAGMATA to reach over one million units sold worldwide within just two days, marking an impressive launch for a brand new IP.

The company stated it will continue striving to meet player expectations by leveraging its game development expertise to deliver high quality and engaging experiences.

The PRAGMATA development team commented:

«As a completely new IP, PRAGMATA represents a new challenge for Capcom, built from the ground up with an original world and gameplay concept. We are truly delighted that so many players around the world have enjoyed the game, enabling us to reach this milestone of one million units sold. Moving forward, we will continue making every effort to deliver the appeal of PRAGMATA to an even broader audience»
