South Korean game publisher Krafton has reported a major demographic success resulting from its internal social support policies. According to an official report released on May 14, employees of the company have welcomed 46 newborns since the beginning of 2026.
The sharp increase in birth rates is said to be a direct result of a large-scale financial and social support program introduced by the company’s leadership earlier.
In February 2025, Krafton launched a comprehensive childbirth and childcare support system aimed at employees who became parents after January 1, 2025. The program includes several unprecedented benefits:
- A financial payment of 100 million won (approximately $66,784) per child, paid over the child’s lifetime.
- Two years of parental leave for newborn childcare.
- Mandatory hiring of temporary replacement staff to take over employees’ responsibilities during parental leave, allowing parents to fully focus on their families.
As a reminder, eFootball will completely cease operations in Russia and Belarus on June 15, 2026.
