Release date for Steam Controller 2 sales has been revealed

The release of Steam Controller 2 appears imminent. Despite complete silence from Valve, a new leak has surfaced online, this time revealing the exact launch timing.

Earlier, the YouTube channel Techy Talk accidentally published a hands-on video ahead of schedule. The footage revealed four additional rear buttons, durable TMR sticks, and a reported price tag of $100.

Now, Japanese outlet 4Gamer has added more details after briefly posting its own review along with photos. According to the report, sales will begin on May 4 at 15:00 local time, which corresponds to 08:00 CEST in Europe.

Comparison images confirm that the Steam Controller 2 is noticeably bulkier than the DualSense and the standard controller from Xbox.

Although 4Gamer quickly removed the article, unboxing photos rapidly spread across the internet. Valve has not provided any official comments so far.

As a Reminder, Steam Controller price leaked online.
