The new Steam Controller by Valve sold out in just 30 minutes, creating ideal conditions for scalpers. While some users managed to place orders, others encountered errors on Steam and are now forced to wait for restocks.
Confirmed orders immediately appeared on eBay, where they are being successfully sold for up to $300. This represents a 200% markup compared to the official price of $99 set by Valve.
According to Valve representatives, the company was prepared for such a scenario: “Ahead of today’s launch, Valve stated that it was ready to scale up production if necessary.”
As a reminder, Luminosity Gaming and TSM are looking to acquire the roster of 3DMAX.
