Resident Evil Requiem has become the highest-rated game on Metacritic according to players.

Three days after its release, Resident Evil Requiem became the highest-rated game of all time on Metacritic based on user reviews. The game currently holds an overall Metacritic score of 88, with ratings across different platforms ranging from 88 to 92.

However, its current user score stands at 9.5, which is the highest on the entire platform. Only Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also has a 9.5 rating, but according to Metacritic’s calculations, Resident Evil Requiem surpasses it — meaning the unrounded average score of Capcom’s game is slightly higher.

Although the overall Metascore (88) does not allow the game to enter the “Best Games of All Time” list according to critics — which includes projects with scores above 90 — it still makes it the best game of 2026 so far.

It is worth noting that the full list of teams participating in PGL Bucharest 2026 has also been revealed.
