Resident Evil: Requiem Story Length Reportedly Revealed

New information regarding the story length of Resident Evil: Requiem has surfaced online. According to current reports, the main campaign is expected to last around 16 to 19 hours.

Players are also said to spend roughly equal amounts of time playing as Grace Ashcroft and Leon Kennedy.

Earlier rumours suggested a much shorter runtime, but insider Dusk Golem has pushed back against those claims, stating that they are inaccurate and are skewing information to come to a conclusion that’s setting up the wrong expectation and not based off of any official information.

After speaking with a producer, Dusk Golem claims that Resident Evil Requiem is «roughly» comparable in length to Resident Evil 4. For reference, Resident Evil 4 takes around 16 hours to complete its main story, with over 21 hours required for full completion.

That said, one of the series’ directors has also pointed out that estimating a game’s length is difficult, adding that players should expect «a “Resident Evil” amount of content».

Both developers and insiders agree that clearer figures will only emerge once the game launches on 27 February. Until then, all runtime estimates should be taken cautiously, as media outlets have only experienced preview builds so far, and individual playstyles can significantly affect overall completion time.
