On Valentine’s Day, fans could easily celebrate with their loved ones while watching top-tier Counter-Strike. The S-tier event kicked off today, and since it heavily impacts teams’ chances of qualifying for the Major, every match matters. We covered this in a recent article.
There were no do-or-die elimination or advancement matches today, but every team still fought hard, each win carries weight. Here are the most notable matchups:
- NAVI took down Astralis, finally breaking their losing streak in this matchup. Astralis had won the previous three encounters, both online and on LAN, but this time the updated Danish roster couldn’t stop NAVI. The series ended 2–0, marking NAVI’s first victory over Astralis since BLAST Bounty Season 1 2025.
- FUT Esports, the former NAVI academy roster, defeated Aurora after a tense series. FUT could have closed it out 2–0, but they let a comeback slip on map two, sending the match to a decider. On the third map, Aurora couldn’t keep up, FUT Esports took the series 2–1.
- B8 were the only Ukrainian team unable to secure a win today, falling to FURIA. Despite facing one of the strongest opponents in the world, currently ranked inside the global top 3, B8 put up a fight, losing both maps by narrow margins: Mirage (13:11) and Inferno (13:10).
All results:
NAVI 2:0 Astralis
FUT 2:1 Aurora
FaZe 2:0 Heroic
MOUZ 2:1 PARIVISION
Falcons 2:0 3DMAX
Vitality 2:1 G2
The Mongolz 2:1 Pain
