Riot Games Announces League of Legends Classic

Riot Games has announced the development of League of Legends Classic. The announcement came after a wave of major leaks, during which dataminers revealed the existence of the project as well as a list of playable champions.

The reveal trailer does not disclose any specific gameplay details. Instead, the video showcases Riot Games' attempts to determine what exactly the Classic version should be.

According to League of Legends Executive Producer Paul "Pabro" Bellezza, Riot Games' approach to the classic experience will be flexible. The company plans to allow players to decide for themselves which version of the game they consider to be "classic."

The developers promised to reveal all details regarding League of Legends Classic during the Mid-Season Invitational 2026. The tournament will take place from June 28 to July 12.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian VALORANT national team secured its second victory in the qualifiers for ENC 2026.
