Rocket League publisher Epic Games, in partnership with tournament operator BLAST, has announced the launch of a new World Championship Bundle ahead of the RLCS 2026 World Championship. 100% of the net sales from this bundle will go directly toward increasing the base prize pool, which currently stands at $1.2 million.
Net sales are calculated after deducting taxes, payment processing costs, and platform fees. The remaining funds will be passed on entirely to the competitors. The additional prize pool will be distributed as follows: 70% will go to the teams (the amount will depend on their final placement in the tournament), and 30% will go to individual players.
The special bundle will appear in the in-game shop on September 1 and will be available until September 23. The World Championship Bundle will be priced at 1,100 Credits, which is roughly equivalent to $10.
The 2026 Rocket League World Championship will take place from September 15 to September 20 in Fort Worth, Texas. The 20 best rosters in the world will compete for the main trophy and a share of the total prize pool.
This is not the first time the community has been involved in funding a prize pool in Rocket League. Earlier in 2026, a similar crowdfunding model was tested during the Paris Major. At that time, sales of the special bundle raised about $550,000 for the participants, although the distribution differed: half went to individual performance awards, and the other half was divided among the 16 teams based on their final placement.
In addition to tournament bundles, Rocket League maintains a long-running system for selling branded team cosmetic items. Under the standard terms of this program, esports organizations receive 30% of the revenue, while Epic Games retains 70%. This provides clubs with a consistent source of income independent of prize money and sponsorships.
