Reports have surfaced online claiming that the North Korea national football team will be officially featured in the upcoming football simulator EA Sports FC 27. This would become possible thanks to an expanded licensing agreement between EA Sports and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
According to insiders, EA Sports has secured the full rights package for the AFC Asian Cup 2027, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia. Since North Korea national football team qualified for the tournament, the team is expected to be included in the game.
The North Korean national team is considered one of the most closed-off teams in world football, and its appearances in video games have usually been limited due to licensing difficulties involving the team’s branding and player likeness rights.
