Rumors Suggest When The First The Legend of Zelda Movie Trailer Could Be Released

Fans of The Legend of Zelda are still waiting for the first official footage from Nintendo and Sony’s upcoming live action adaptation. With the movie’s release getting closer, some believe the debut trailer could arrive this summer.

Very little has been officially revealed about the film so far. Audiences have only seen the cast announcement, a few images of Link and Zelda, as well as some concept art and possible set photos that were quickly deleted from social media. Because of that, anticipation for a full trailer continues to grow.

According to the report, the summer movie season would be the perfect time to release the trailer, since blockbuster premieres attract the biggest audiences during that period. The most likely option is that the trailer will be attached to screenings of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, especially since both movies are being produced by Sony.

The article also notes that studios often promote upcoming blockbusters alongside their biggest current releases. Examples mentioned include trailers for Toy Story 5 and The Odyssey being shown ahead of other major films from the same studios.

The author believes that even a short teaser featuring Link, Zelda, and a first look at Ganon would be enough to generate massive hype among fans. They also added that references to iconic locations like the Temple of Time could send “the internet into theory mode.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently scheduled to release on July 31, 2026, making that date one of the strongest predictions for when the first The Legend of Zelda trailer could appear.
