The Russian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team Verso Time will not compete at the Esports World Cup 2026, which is set to take place in France. The organization announced the news on its social media channels.
According to the club, all of its players were denied visas, making it impossible for the team to attend the event. Following the incident, Verso Time's management announced that the organization will officially cease operations.
The organizers of the Esports World Cup have decided not to replace the withdrawn team with another participant. According to the official tournament regulations, Verso Time's disqualification will affect the competition as follows:
- Verso Time's slot at the event will remain vacant, and no replacement team will be invited.
- All Group B matches scheduled against the Russian club will be cancelled, with Verso Time receiving default losses.
- Verso Time's opponents will automatically be awarded victories in those matches, while the team will officially finish in 25th place.
The MLBB Esports World Cup 2026 will take place from July 22 to August 1 and feature a $3 million prize pool.
