Savvy Games Group Becomes Official Sponsor of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Through Global PIF–FIFA Agreement

Gaming and esports company Savvy Games Group has been named an official partner of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The partnership became possible through a large-scale agreement between FIFA and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which owns SGG.

PIF plans to involve several of its subsidiaries in tournament-related activities, including Savvy Games Group and the ambitious futuristic mega-project Qiddiya City.

Savvy Games Group’s involvement in the 2026 World Cup may signal the company’s expansion beyond the esports industry. The organization is increasingly evolving into a major player in the global sports entertainment market.

Savvy Games Group serves as one of Saudi Arabia’s key investment vehicles in the gaming industry. The company owns stakes in major corporations such as Electronic Arts, mobile publisher Scopely, and Mobile Legends developer Moonton Games. Beyond game publishing, it also owns ESL FACEIT Group and nearly all shares of Japanese developer SNK. In addition, the group is a major shareholder in Nintendo, Take-Two Interactive, Capcom, and Embracer Group.

As a reminder, recent rumors suggest that the Esports World Cup may be moved to Paris.
