Scalpers Are Cashing In on League of Legends Worlds 2026 by Selling Tickets for Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars

Tickets for the League of Legends Worlds 2026 finals are being resold at enormous markups on secondary marketplaces. Some listings now exceed $100,000, while the tournament itself is scheduled to run from October through November.

The most expensive listings for matches at Brooklyn's Barclays Center have reached $169,000 on SeatGeek for a suite seat. Even the cheapest seats in the upper sections of the arena are listed from $1,860, far above their original prices.

Many fans believe Riot Games' Fan First ticket distribution system contributed to the issue. The company confirmed that verified accounts were selected through a random drawing to receive early access before general ticket sales began.

Riot Games has already responded to the situation. The League of Legends and Valorant developer announced that a second wave of general admission tickets will go on sale in August. Rumors have also claimed that only a limited number of general admission tickets were available when sales opened on July 24, although Riot Games has not confirmed those reports.
