Konami has announced new milestones for Silent Hill f and Silent Hill 2. According to the company, Silent Hill f has officially surpassed 2 million units sold worldwide, while Silent Hill 2 has reached over 6 million players globally.

The company clarified that the Silent Hill f figures are based on internal tracking as of April 22, 2026, while the Silent Hill 2 numbers are current as of April 24, 2026.
Konami also highlighted that Silent Hill f is the first entry in the franchise set in Japan. Built around the concept “Find the beauty in Terror,” the game follows high school student Hinako Shimizu as she explores the fog-covered town of Ebisugaoka while facing terrifying transformations and fighting for survival.
The story was written by Ryukishi07, while creature and character designs were created by kera. The soundtrack features composers Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage.
The game has also received major industry recognition. At the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2025, it won three awards including the fan-voted Game of the Year. It also earned four awards at the IGN JAPAN GOTY 2025 and received nominations at both the Golden Joystick Awards 2025 and The Game Awards 2025.
