Silent Hill Townfall Appears Headed for a PS5 and PC Release

None of the currently available marketing materials mention an Xbox Series X or Series S version. The official website for Silent Hill: Townfall, as well as the trailer’s end credits, list only Steam and PlayStation 5, with no reference to Xbox Series X/S.

This approach could be linked either to a timed exclusivity agreement or to technical limitations related to the Xbox Series S. The Silent Hill franchise has long been closely associated with PlayStation, even though it has appeared on other platforms in the past. A recent example is Silent Hill F, which launched simultaneously on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Still, a PlayStation-focused release would not be unexpected. Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2 initially arrived as a console exclusive, and Konami appears to be following a similar strategy with Townfall.

The game is being developed by Screen Burn, with the story set on the Scottish island of St. Amelia. Much like previous recent entries, the publisher seems keen to explore new themes and gameplay ideas by working with different development teams.

While details could still change ahead of the planned 2026 release, current information suggests that Silent Hill Townfall will be available on PS5 and PC only. Confirmation regarding its console exclusivity is expected at a later date.
