According to Alinea Analytics, Slay the Spire 2 sold over 5 million copies in March. The game launched in early access on March 5 and has already generated 108 million dollars in revenue on Steam, confidently securing first place by copies sold for the month.
Crimson Desert by Pearl Abyss ranked second, selling nearly 2 million copies in March. Despite a mixed reception at launch, the game gradually gained momentum through word of mouth, while the team’s community management received positive feedback.
Climber Animals Together took third place with 1.2 million copies sold. After a relatively quiet release in 2024, the game surged in popularity in early 2026 thanks to a successful self publishing launch in China and viral spread on streaming platforms. However, due to its low price, it generated less than 6 million dollars in revenue.
Resident Evil Requiem also sold 1.2 million copies in March but brought in significantly higher revenue of around 70 million dollars. Its total Steam sales reached 2.9 million copies, slightly surpassing PS5 figures, although the console version remains more profitable due to pricing structure and audience differences.
The fifth spot went to the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3, which nearly reached one million copies sold in March. The key driver was a major 90 percent discount that reduced the price to 3.99 dollars. Around 95 percent of sales occurred during this short promotional period, generating approximately 8 million dollars in revenue.
