1047 Games, the studio best known for developing Splitgate, is preparing to release its new project titled EMPULSE. The game’s Steam page has already gone live.
EMPULSE is a fast-paced 6v6 shooter heavily inspired by the Titanfall series. The game takes place on the streets of the post-apocalyptic city of Freehold.
The core gameplay is built around complete freedom of movement. Players will be able to run along walls in multiple directions, use grappling hooks, and perform jumps with the help of special Holojumps. Each district of the city is designed to maximize verticality and maintain uninterrupted movement during combat.
One of EMPULSE’s key gameplay mechanics will revolve around battles for controllable combat mechs that appear across the map. These massive machines are equipped with heavy weaponry, unique abilities, and enormous health pools.
At the time of its Steam reveal, EMPULSE is currently in the pre-alpha stage, and no release date has been announced yet.
