Starfield gets full DualSense support and PS5 Pro modes

Starfield is launching on PlayStation 5 with full DualSense integration and enhanced options for the Pro version.

Key features include adaptive triggers with varying resistance depending on the weapon type, use of the controller speaker for audio logs and ship communications, and a Light Bar that changes color based on player health or ship status. The touchpad enables quick access to actions such as scanning or switching perspective.

On PlayStation 5 Pro, players can choose between two modes. Pro Visual targets native 4K resolution at 30 FPS, while Pro Performance aims for 60 FPS for smoother gameplay. Both modes make use of image upscaling technology.

Bethesda Game Studios confirmed that all PS5 systems will support SSD optimization, Trophies, and the full DualSense feature set. Adaptive Triggers provide the controller's L2 and R2 buttons with physical resistance and feedback, giving each weapon a distinct feel. The Light Bar reacts dynamically, changing color to reflect the player character's health… pulsing red when there's imminent danger. The touchpad allows quick access to key functions, while the controller speaker plays audio logs and communications, boosting immersion.

Starfield arrives on PlayStation 5 on April 6 alongside the Free Lanes update and the Terrain Armada DLC.

As a Reminder, Slay the Spire 2 tops Steam’s March chart with over 5 million copies sold.
