Steve Allison, who served as Vice President at Epic Games and was directly responsible for the creation and successful launch of the Epic Games Store digital marketplace, has officially left the company.
The next step in his career will be transitioning to Saber Interactive, where he has been appointed Chief Business Officer.
During his time at Epic Games, Allison not only launched the well-known game storefront but also led the third-party publishing division, helping the platform attract hundreds of millions of users and thousands of titles. In his new role at Saber Interactive, he will report directly to CEO Matthew Karch and oversee publishing, marketing, and new revenue-generating opportunities.
Steve Allison brings over 30 years of executive experience in the gaming industry and has worked on the launches of more than 140 games throughout his career. His most recent role was at Epic Games, where as Vice President he spearheaded the creation and launch of the Epic Games Store, as well as the company's third-party publishing business. Prior to Epic Games, Allison spent over eight years as Senior Vice President of Publishing at Telltale Games, served as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Midway Games, and spent more than a decade in various leadership roles at Atari.
Commenting on his appointment, Allison emphasized that Saber Interactive's key strength lies in its talented studios, which are capable of producing high-quality games at costs 30% to 50% lower than industry standards. He also highlighted the company's exceptional lineup of upcoming releases, which includes:
- Space Marine 3
- Jurassic Park
- Turok
- Hellraiser
- An upcoming game based on the John Wick franchise
Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch described Allison as one of the most experienced professionals in the field, who has shaped and modernized the contemporary gaming industry. Karch also humorously added that Allison is incredibly handsome—a trait the company had sorely missed since leaving Aspyr with Embracer.
As a reminder, NAVI Junior and Noir Verse have learned their opponents: groups have been announced for Urban Riga Open S6.
