Capcom has announced a major milestone for Street Fighter 6, revealing that the fighting game has now sold more than 7 million copies worldwide.
The company thanked players for their continued support, saying:
«An achievement all thanks to you. We're eternally grateful that Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 7 million copies worldwide!»
With this result, Street Fighter 6 has overtaken the original Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, which sold 6.3 million copies on SNES, not counting its many later revisions and re-releases.
Following the conclusion of the Year 3 DLC roadmap, Capcom also unveiled the Year 4 character lineup. The next wave of fighters will include Yasmine, Arjun, Bosch, and Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII.
The release schedule will be spread across the next year:
- Yasmine arrives this summer
- Arjun joins the roster in fall 2026
- Tifa launches in early 2027
- Bosch is set to arrive in spring 2027
Fans of the franchise also have the Street Fighter movie to look forward to, with its theatrical release scheduled for October 16, 2026.
