The iconic game Tetris is set to receive its own CG-animated series adaptation titled Tetris: World Builders. The project was officially announced during the recent International Animation Film Festival in Annecy.
According to the announcement, the upcoming show is aimed at children aged six and older. The creators plan to combine storytelling with challenges based on the STEAM educational framework (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). This approach is designed to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among young viewers.
The story centers around a global crisis in which mysterious Tetrimino blocks begin falling from the sky. A young team of World Builders must adapt, evolve, and work together to overcome the challenges threatening their world.
The project is currently in the early stages of development. It was created by TeamTO producers Marco Balsamo and Tara Sibel Demren. The executive producer is Chuck Williams, who is best known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise.
As a reminder, June 30 will be an important day for Destiny 2 players due to a new update and the return of Iron Banner.
