The BioShock film adaptation is facing another delay. Producer Roy Lee said that filming is currently planned to begin next year, provided nothing gets in the way. According to him, the slow progress is mainly due to director Francis Lawrence being tied up with other projects and post production work.
Lee also noted that Netflix and Take-Two are eager to release the movie around the same time as the next entry in the BioShock game series. He admitted that the film could have been made years ago, but other movies ended up taking priority.
«We would have gotten it made a few years back, but then other movies got in the way, with one being The Long Walk and the other being The Hunger Games prequel, which comes out this December. We’re just waiting for him to finish post production, because he’s going to be working on it through at least September, and then jump back into it», Lee said in an interview with Collider.
As a Reminder, Ukrainian Games Festival will be held offline for the first time.
