Rebel Wolves is preparing a major update for The Blood of Dawnwalker, currently scheduled for early October. The patch will introduce a new difficulty level, make changes to combat, targeting and the camera, and address various other issues.
The new difficulty will not be harder. Instead, it will be the easiest option in the game, designed for players who want to focus on the story without facing much of a combat challenge. The current Story mode will be renamed and become more demanding.
The targeting system and camera will also be adjusted. Rebel Wolves plans to change how crowd control abilities affect target switching, following feedback from players.
The update will also make escaping from combat smoother, reducing situations where the character gets stuck on environmental objects. Animal behavior will be adjusted as well, so enemies will not endlessly chase players who quickly leave combat.
PC performance is another focus of the patch, with the developers continuing to work on fixes based on player feedback and different hardware configurations.
Rebel Wolves is also exploring a New Game Plus mode and is considering adding new enemy types, although the studio has not announced any firm plans yet.
The major patch is expected to arrive in early October.
As a Reminder, Xbox reportedly plans mass layoffs at Blizzard and Halo Studios.
