The prestigious Esports World Cup 2026 offline tournament for Teamfight Tactics is currently underway in Paris. The competition has gathered the 16 best teams fighting for a significant prize pool of $500,000 USD. The organizers of this S-Tier tournament are the Esports Foundation and ESL FACEIT Group.
The EWC series tournament was announced in late 2023, building off the previously established Gamers8 series. Initially, the event was planned to be hosted in Riyadh, but on May 20, the location was officially moved to the capital of France. All matches are played on patch TFT17.6 in Squads mode.
From July 21 to 23, participants competed in a Double-Elimination group stage. As a result, the top eight squads were determined from two groups of 8 teams, securing their spots in the final stage of the tournament.
The decisive playoff stage will take place on July 24-25 using a Single-Elimination system. The quarterfinal pairings will compete in a best-of-three format. The schedule for the starting playoff matches (EEST):
- 11:00 — Flash Wolves vs. NS RedForce
- 13:10 — Virtus.pro vs. Team Vision
- 15:20 — Weibo Gaming vs. Aurora Gaming
- 17:30 — AG.AL vs. GodLike Esports
All playoff matches, including the semifinals, will be played in a Bo3 format. The culmination of the Esports World Cup 2026 will be the Grand Final, where the tournament winner and the main prize holder will be determined in an extended best-of-five series.
