The First Wave of September Game Pass Additions Includes Seven Games

Microsoft has announced the first batch of September additions to the Xbox Game Pass library. Seven new games will arrive during the first half of the month, including Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

The September lineup is as follows:

Shelldiver is already available on cloud, console, and PC. This incremental game follows a turtle who catches jellyfish and sells them at a small shop. Players can upgrade their equipment, explore different biomes and ocean depths, and help the local turtle population.

On September 3, Game Pass will add SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed. The sequel to the competitive co-op platformer supports online races for up to eight players. Players must master movement, navigate carefully designed maps, use power-ups and grappling hooks, and avoid being knocked off-screen by their rivals.

Dice a Million arrives on September 4. This roguelike deck builder challenges players to create the right collection of dice and attempt to reach a roll of 1,000,000. Powerful rings and various tricks provide additional ways to influence the run.

On September 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War joins the service. Raven Software's single-player campaign takes players around the world, with locations including East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, and the Soviet KGB headquarters. The story also features historical figures and difficult truths.

Two games will arrive on September 10. The Royal Writ combines a medieval setting with roguelike deck-building mechanics. Players must build an army, deploy troops across a dynamic battlefield, and make difficult sacrifices, with fallen heroes becoming part of the kingdom's permanent legend.

Also on September 10, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will join Game Pass. The 3D fighting series introduces the new single-player World Stage mode, alongside cross-play, rollback netcode, and improved training and replay features.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds arrives on September 15. Set on the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, the cooperative survival adventure sees players gather resources, build, craft, develop their skills, and uncover ancient secrets after dragons awaken. Their ultimate challenge is to face the fearsome Dragon Queen.

September 15 will also mark the full 1.0 launch of TCG Card Shop Simulator on Game Pass. The game is leaving Game Preview and will let players build card decks, host tournaments, and run their own trading card shop.

On September 4, EA Play subscribers will also receive a 10-hour early access trial for EA Sports NHL 27. The trial features the new Connected Franchise mode and an overhauled broadcast package. Players who purchase the full game can carry their progress over.

On September 16, Game Pass subscribers can claim an exclusive monthly reward pack for Aniimo. The pack includes 1 Aniipod Ultra, 15 Growth Flowers, and 300 Glimmer.

Meanwhile, ten games will leave the Game Pass library on September 15:
