A massive S-tier esports tournament, the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, organized by Moonton, the Esports Foundation, and the ESL FACEIT Group, is currently underway in Paris. The competition, featuring a total prize pool of $3,025,000, will run until August 1. All key stages of the tournament are being hosted at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center.
The tournament began in early July with the Wildcard stage, where teams competed behind closed doors for the right to advance to the main event. Now, the 16 best teams in the world have been divided into two groups of 8 teams to continue the fight for the championship title.
Today, July 22, the Group Stage officially begins at the Lenovo Legion Gauntlet arena. It will feature a Double-elimination format, where all matches will be played as a best-of-three (to two wins). Based on the results of this stage, the top four teams from each group will advance to the next round, while the bottom four will conclude their tournament run.
Today's match day is entirely dedicated to the upper bracket quarterfinals in Group A. The schedule for the first matches (EEST) is as follows:
- 12:00 — Team Vamos vs. Team Falcons
- 13:30 — Team Falcons PH vs. Guangzhou Gaming
- 15:00 — Team Vitality vs. True Rippers
- 16:30 — Team Spirit vs. IGNITE Gaming
The Knockout Stage will take place from July 29 to August 1 and will be played using a Single-elimination system. Teams that finish the previous stage undefeated (2-0) will earn the right to handpick their opponents from the teams with a 2-1 record. This selection will take into account map win differential and additional tiebreakers (e.g., total win time). Most playoff matches will be held in a Bo5 format, while the champion will be crowned in a Bo7 Grand Final.
