G2 Gozen secured victory at the VALORANT VCT 2026: Game Changers EMEA Stage 3, defeating Gentle Mates 3-2 in the grand final. The tournament, featuring a total prize pool of €35,000, took place from July 20 to August 30, 2026, with the decisive match held at the ESA Espor Arena in Istanbul, Turkey.
This victory earned G2 Gozen the main prize of €15,000 and secured them EMEA's first seed for the Game Changers Championship 2026, which will take place in São Paulo at the end of October.
The path to the championship required resilience from the team: after suffering a 1-2 loss to Gentle Mates in the upper bracket semifinals, G2 Gozen fought their way through the lower bracket, defeating Habos Babos, FOKUS Sakura, and SK Nebula before taking their revenge in the final. This triumph allowed the team to break a six-match losing streak against the French organization that had lasted since the beginning of the year. The G2 VALORANT organization itself celebrated the event by declaring the Queens of EMEA "back on the throne."
The end of the season marked a long-awaited success for G2 Gozen, as the title had eluded them in earlier stages this year: they finished second in Stage 1 and third in Stage 2. The highly experienced roster of Michaela "mimi" Lintrup, Aleyna "Vania" Keskin, Nur "eva" Çakır, Esllene "Akita" Xu, and Amy "amy" Lai is considered one of the main favorites for the upcoming World Championship. The organization has never missed a qualification for the global event since its inception in 2022.
