Story Kitchen has struck a deal with the creators of the viral Roblox hit Steal A Brainrot to develop a full-length live-action film. This was reported by Deadline.
While plot details are being kept under wraps for now, Story Kitchen has hinted that the movie will retain the game’s “chaotic, fun, and often absurd spirit.” The game’s creators will be actively involved in the project as producers.
Story Kitchen is no stranger to video game adaptations. The studio’s portfolio includes projects based on Tomb Raider, It Takes Two, and Life Is Strange. The company also includes Dmitri M. Johnson, who is a producer of the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise.
Steal A Brainrot launched on Roblox in May 2025 and amassed over 55 billion visits in a record-breaking short period of time. At its peak, 25.8 million users were playing simultaneously, making it one of the most popular games in Roblox history. It is a fast-paced multiplayer game in which players collect, buy, and steal “brainrots” — characters inspired by modern internet memes.
As a reminder, Amazon has released the first season of the Fallout series on YouTube.
